MOU between Korea National Arboretum and Ecosystems Research Conservation
The mission of the Korea National Arboretum is to conserve and develop plant resources through comprehensive research and to promote the public’s understanding of the forests. The Arboretum covers an area of 1,157 hectares and houses 15 specialized plant gardens, forest museum, forest zoo, a herbarium and seed bank.

- Scope of Cooperation:
- The governments of the Philippines and Korea will support cooperation in: (i) Joint seed collection expeditions, (ii) Exchange of research materials including but not limited to seeds and specimens, (iii) Exchange of publication and information, and (iv) Any other collaborative projects or programs of mutual interest in accordance with the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding.
- Latest Activity:
- a. ERDB collected five (5) species of seeds
b. The College of Forestry and Natural Resources (CFNR) of the University of the Philippines, Los Banos collected twenty seven (27) species of seeds. The seeds will be shipped to Korea on November 2015
