The Committee on Forestry is the highest Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Forestry statutory body. COFO holds its biennial sessions in FAO's headquarters in Rome, Italy. It brings together heads of forest services and other senior government officials to identify emerging policy and technical issues, to seek solutions and to advise FAO and others on appropriate action.

- The 22nd Session of the Committee on Forestry (COFO 22) reviewed the state of world's forests with emphasis on socio-economic benefits including income, employment, ownership, and management rights. In this context, it examined forest policy measures that promote sustainable production and consumption, access to resources, markets, financing equitable benefit sharing, and valuation of forest products and services.
COFO 22 provided opportunities for member countries to consider ways of promoting the contributions of forests to global developmental objectives and ensuring they feed into global negotiation process such as the devleopment of SDGs. - Latest Activities:
